The renowned Alto-tesina winery has been awarded by Wine Enthusiast.
The prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine gave an excellent score to a wine from the St. Michael Eppan winery: 94 points to Pinot Bianco Schulthauser.
Pinot Bianco is one of the most important white wines of the cellar; it is a complete, finely fruity and fresh wine. It was born in the Schulthaus vineyards, between 540 and 620 meters above sea level, in one of the most suitable areas for pinot blanc: the microclimate is mild, characterized by cool nights and thermal excursions that are perfect for the right ripening of the grape. Here, there are vineyards over 40 years old, on calcareous and gravelly soil, rich in clay and facing South and South-East. Pinot Bianco Schulthauser ferments 75% in steel tanks and 25% in wooden barrels.
This wine has a straw yellow color with green reflections. The nose opens with an elegant fruity bouquet, which gives elegant and precious hints of apple, apricot and pear. On the palate it is intense and balanced with fruity creaminess. Perfect to combine during summer aperitifs; ideal with seafood, shellfish, delicate game or with delicate Tyrolean cheese dumplings.
