The climatic trend was dry, especially during the harvest. Despite this, the vine has overcome this period of water shortage well and the quality of the grapes is very high. The lack of water has allowed the winery to naturally contain the yields of the vineyards. In conclusion, it can be said that, despite the vintage characterized by an important climatic alternation with late frosts, thunderstorms, summer hailstorms but also drought, Cascina Chicco has achieved surprising results in terms of grape quality, perhaps also by virtue of not excessive production quantity.
