The prestigious Tuscan winery received an excellent score for one of its wines.
In the Gambero Rosso guide Vini d’Italia 2021, the well-known Tuscan winery Terenzi obtained an excellent recognition for one of its wines: Tre Bicchieri for Madrechiesa Morellino di Scansano Docg Riserva 2016.
Madrechiesa represents the selection of a single vineyard, the highest expression of the Sangiovese grape. The essence of the Tuscan territory’s vocation for great red wines can be found in this wine, together with the entrepreneurial spirit of the Terenzi brothers. Madrechiesa offers a unique interpretation of Sangiovese, combining sobriety, authenticity, elegance, complexity and character.
Morellino di Scansano Riserva “Madrechiesa” from Terenzi presents itself to the eye with a ruby red hue, crossed by light flashes reminiscent of garnet. The aromas that envelop the nose are wide and varied, and tell us a fruity and balsamic profile, embellished with references to the Mediterranean scrub and the undergrowth. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, with a warm and concentrated sip, and it has an excellent tannic texture. The wine that is the symbol of the winery’s oenological history, the maximum expression of what Sangiovese manages to express in a cru of great impact.
