The well-known Sicilian winery received an excellent score for one of its wines.
The prestigious Wine Enthusiast magazine gave an excellent score to a wine from the Sicilian winery Palmento Costanzo: 91 points to Bianco di Sei Etna Doc 2019.
Bianco di Sei Etna Doc is a dry white wine of great territoriality and expressiveness. It is produced with grapes grown in the Contrada Santo Spirito, on the north side of the volcano. The terroir is unique, black volcanic sands and effusive rocks, which give the wine a strong and pleasant mineral imprint. The training system is sapling to better withstand the constant winds of Etna and to protect the grapes from the scorching Sicilian sun.
This wine is born from the manual harvest of the grapes that are selected with care. The first phase is the soft pressing of the bunches, followed by fermentation with selected indigenous yeasts. The refinement then takes place in stainless steel tanks for 10 months and ends with the rest in the bottle for 8 months.
The Bianco di Sei Etna Doc has a straw yellow color and fruity and tasty aromas, with memories of white flowers, Sicilian lemons and peppermint. On the palate there are citrus fruits and marine flavor that make the wine fresh and intoxicating.
